I always check guys height on profiles and then knock a couple of inches off.

Lots of meets who reckon they're 5 foot 9 strangely turn out to be shorter than me at five foot seven and a half...not sure how that works.

5ft 10" in my profile stats ... 5ft 9 and 7/8ths of an inch in reality.

Some days it does get hard seeing 'must be 6ft+' on profiles though. We see threads supporting curvy women, so come on ladies throw out the smaller dude love!

I'd have seen that as good natured ribbing, especially as I came from someone of near the same height, but then I am not overly sensitive about those things.

To answer your original point, so what if they do? Ignore those profiles and find ones that don't specify a minimum height requirement.

Look at it the other way, if an attractive 68 year old wanted to meet you, then she'd see your age range of interest and she'd look elsewhere. You've already done the same by specifying an age range as they have in expressing a height preference. Same with cock length. Same with hair or lack of. Same with body type.

It's all about preferences, and the less you take it seriously, the better time you will have here.

You've already had meets and been to events, so it's not like there aren't people willing to meet you.

I have to admit being 5’10 I won’t meet guys shorter than 5’8. Just my preference. I prefer a taller guy and shorter guys do get shirty with me if I say no thanks because of the height as were all the same laying down apparantly (how many times have I heard that)

OP people have many different preferences, height is just one. Many will put their preferences in their profile text as a way to stop those who don't match from wasting their time messaging. They are actually doing you a favour and saving you the disappointment of not getting anywhere.

If you don't match what someone is looking for just move on to the next profile in your search. You can block those who you don't match to make sure they don't show up in future searches.

And I'm not for everyone and that's cool.

I'm faced battles with my height throughout my life, bullied at school into work but I fought harder than most to prove a point.

When I was riding on track they would have to run out with the paddock stand when I came down the pitlane as I had no way of getting my feet down.

Some would laugh but when I was on track with them I'd go past holding up my middle finger.

And now I'm still short but very well built and as some have found out a fucking machine in the bedroom that leaves them shaking .

Ive had a bloody good time, enjoyed the people I've met and lived the dream many would give an arm for.

I never let it get in my way or it stop me doing what I want

Because I won't put up with 2nd place.

It's a very old problem isn't it. Preferences of course are a perfectly natural and acceptable thing. They are most definitely handled differently between the genders however.

Women are allowed to be far more selective, some would say entitled. Men exhibiting preference are pretty much always viewed as entitled at best, bigoted at worst.

Ultimately the situation will remain the same until men begin to display the same behaviours as women and refuse to lower their standards. Men can't afford to be selective in general because there will always be a thirsty guy waiting in line who isn't so selective. And for the few men who are very high value and can't be readily replaced there are always shaming tactics.

Women - I demand a 6ft+ gym fit confident man earning no less than 6 figures - Reasonable.

Men - I'd like a woman who can fit into a single airline seat - Bigot!

I have to say, I only go for taller men. As you say it’s a personal preference, as is colour, age and build. I’m well aware I’m not everyone’s cup of tea. Some men prefer petite, which I have never been!

My long term partner is at least 6ft 8; my regular partners is 5ft 8 and having sex with them is very different, just because of their height.

I agree with you OP, there are one or two personal comments on this thread and whilst they were probably meant in jest, it can easily become something upsetting to the person on the receiving end. If it wasn’t personal it wouldn’t be an issue.

As for height ... it’s just a choice, no more, no less. You can prefer a taller man but that doesn’t mean you’re not attracted to shorter men.

I didn't read it that way. He didn't say they were ugly, just that he didn't find them attractive. Same as they weren't attracted to short men. Just a fact not an insult.

If someone doesn't like me cos of my height no worries it's a physical feature I can't do anything about just like someone being bald, fat, thin , big ass, no ass , etc...I have mates that are 6ft4 and I'm the shorty but I wouldnt swap there height if it meant I got there height

But I love it...I'm still attracted to men 5ft 10 or over though can't help want we prefer can we.

I get turned down for having a beard or having red hair. It’s personal preference. It happens. Don’t dawdle on it just look for someone who is into you.
