Does listening to an audio book count the same as reading it.

Apparently an academic has said it is lazy and doesn't count ?!

I'm guessing the academic talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk on a lot of subjects

It depends what you’re trying to gain - it’s a cheat if you’re wanting to read (and reap the benefits therein) but not if you’re simply wanting to hear the storytelling or information (and reap the benefits therein).

I wouldn't trust an audiobook for serious learning, but if I'm just needing to tune in for details or quotes then they're useful. Last I did that was with Woodward's 'Fear'.

Hefty Hideaway

I always get distracted when listening to an audio book. I prefer to read.

It’s not cheating if you make the effort to listen in my book (drum roll).

Another one here who can get distracted with audio books. Have put one on if I can't sleep sometimes but I prefer reading
