What instrument did you play during school? Or if you still play what do you play?

I used to be awesome on the violin

I wanted to do percussion, but I was placed on the violin. I gave it up first opportunity, hated the whiny noised fucker.

I used to play the triangle in a Jamaican reggae band. Well I say play, I just used to stand at the back and ting.

(must be read in a patois dialect)

I tried to play the clarinet to get some time out from class. I sounded like a walrus taking a dump. It was suggested that I find another hobby as musical skill was not my forte

I learnt how to play the piano but gave up when I was a teenager.

I really wish I had persevered.

I first learnt to play sax when I was around about 20 I think.

I later played with a number of samba bands, playing surdo and timbau for years.

Don’t do any now. Leave that to my kids.

Recorder in primary school, then the oboe at high school. At 17 I learned to play the guitar and traded in my oboe for my first guitar.

Bassoon. I was fascinated with it from a young age and finally got to learn when I took gcse music. I struggled a lot purely because my hands are so small that I had difficulty reaching the keys. My teachers were knew I would never be overly successful with it but indulged me because i had been pestering to take it up from the minute I started secondary school and I was so passionate about it

Music teachers struggled and failed to teach both violin and French horn.

Huge waste of everyone's time and effort...
