Why do guys need pops for anal

I see guys always say they have pops for anal now i don't know as i have never done any drug or substances in my life but do you actually need it? When i do anal i just have a bit of rimming some finger play and lube up and go with it so is it just a guy thing??

Only ever lubed myself ,I think pop just relaxes you so Im told
