I must be getting old as I often get random letters and spend ages trying to work out what it’s supposed to mean...... are people just messing with me?

I have to admit that I sometimes find myself typing slightly shortened versions of words, like tho, or typing wanna instead of want to and that sort of thing, but about the only abbreviations I use that I can think of off the top is my head is lol, and even then it’s just to emphasise that what I’ve written is a meant to be humourous

I am guilty of a few, lol, pmsl, tbh that's probably it though.

My biggest grammatical crime though accepted is the shatner comma, and pause/break....

To add a little more, emphasis and feeling to my typing.
