...does it take you from waking up in the morning, to leaving for work?

I can get up at 7.07 and leave at 7.30 to start work at 7.45. I’ve been getting up earlier so I actually wake up a little bit and make somewhat of an effort with my appearance.

God no, I wake naturally early and take an hour with my first cup of tea/BBC news, during which time I check the weather and decide what to wear. Then a leisurely breakfast before showering, dressing and putting on makeup, which takes very little time. Head out to work around 8.30.

If I woke up with an alarm or had to get up and go straight out it would throw my whole day out. I would feel like I was late somehow ... even if I wasn’t

My normal routine is up at 5.30am leave at 5.50am to get my train to London at 6.25am. Thankfully today I'm working from home. I'm sure your appearance doesn't need that much effort

The alarm can go off at 6:30am.. with 3 more alarm set to ensure I surface. I run out of my pit at 7:20am to be on the road at 7:30am. I make it most of the time ish...

I don't like mornings .... can you guess....

It takes me an age in the morning, I'm about as sedentary as a sea sponge when I wake...

Get up at 5.45, takes me an hour to shower, dress, have a coffee so I start to feel human, deal with the plethora of mail on Fab (1 message if I'm lucky), before I leave for my 75 minute drive to work.

Think I need a job closer to home...

Alarms are set for 445 and 505 if I miss the first. I get up have coffee perhaps a wank and a shower. Leave at 545. I can’t do the jump out of bed clean teeth and run out the door thing. I like to take my time

Not quite the ‘traditional’ family but my husband gets up at about 6 so he can take the dogs out, feed them etc. And he’s an early riser anyway!

It kinda sucks though, because your body gets into that routine and can't get out of it.

When I was on the tools I was up at 5am every day, which meant that even on the weekend is be awake that early. Even if I went out and had a skinful and thought "Ahhhh...I'm pissed, I've gone to bed late, I'll have a nice leisurely lie-in tomorrow..." I'd wake up, and that thin anaemic light coming through the window would tell me it was too early - and then I'd always make the mistake of checking my clock, at which point I'd get so pissed off at how early it was that I'd never get back to sleep

I can be up and out in 20 minutes, eating breakfast on the go.....

Or....... I can faff about, iron a shirt, have a cofffee, catch up on the news, check in to social media to see what people have been eating and before I know it it's lunchtime.

That must be a bit of a rush. I wake before 6, first cup of tea then up by 6.15,breakfast & second cupa out of the house by 7.30 about 20 minute drive to start work at 8. Not too bad in the summer,don't like these dark mornings though.

Neither of us really goes to work anymore. We get up around 6:30 and build into the day slowly, taking the dog around the fields, heading to the gym while it’s quiet and then checking emails and dealing with business from home. Probably takes about an hour between waking and being out the door though.

Unless we’ve been out the night before then there’s not much happening before lunch!

I'm really not a morning person so I will set my alarm then knock it onto snooze, then snooze again, then get up late, rush around like an idiot and fly out the door to catch the school bus then drive fast to work.

I can do it in about 15 minutes but it's not good all that rushin about and skipping breakfast.

I really need to start getting up earlier.

I can't do the wake up and rush out of the house thing.

I'm useless when I first wake up!

So now I have a job where I start at 11.30 and it's a 15 min bike ride away.

I wake up to my neighbour slamming his front door around 7ish

Then I have a few hours to drink coffee and have breakfast etc ..

The price I pay is that I finish later in the evening - but not every day - I spread my hours out over 6 days, 3 full days and 3 half days.

Get up, switch on machine, toilet, face wash, dress, coffee in travel mug.

At the gym 15minutes later.

I usually wake around 6am or earlier. Up. Kettle on. Throw on some clothes. Sort out the dogs with a quick walk and breakfast. Try to wake the dead. Shower. Hair. Try to wake the dead. Makeup. Clothes. Try to wake the dead. Make lunches. Tip the dead of of its bed and make sure it gets to school. Out of the door 7:30.

I overslept, woke up at 07:50 out the door by 08:00, in work by 09:00, got there 10 mins early. Bear in mind it takes an roughly hour for me to get to work

Reading your replies reminds me how lucky I am. Used to work in the city centre. Half an hour to shower, cereal and out the door for the death defying half hour+ motorbike ride in to town. Only knocked off once.

For the last nearly 20 years I’ve run my internet business from home. The tricky part is separating home from business life. And the lack of contact with people on a daily basis.

But no commuting for me and christ am I thankful.

When I left the house for work usually took me 30 mins from waking up to closing the front door - now I mostly work from home it usually takes me about the same time to get showered/dressed but now make a cup of tea and check personal emails/Fab etc before signing on to work

About 10 minutes. I wake up. Throw on some shorts go downstairs and clean the pub. Later I go upstairs and shower etc. To start the day fully.

It varies - I often like an hour or s, where I spoil myself with the luxury of not rushing - that's my norm, 1 to 2 hours. Exceptionally, half an hour to go to the gym, before starting a couple of hours later. I've kicked rushing out of my life, though remain efficient.

When I’m working away, and therefore have breakfast to deal with and a 30 minute commute it’s about an hour and three quarters. When I’m working from the man cave it’s 15 minutes - long enough to make a coffee
