I love the conspiracy theory that he's actually Alex Jones and it's just one massive great big trolling act.

If we're talking Bill, then we should probably mention George Carlin as well...

Currently I'm rather fond of Jim Jefferies. He's as wrong as they come, but by fuck he can tell the shit out of a story

And also the other controversial jock gigglemeister Jerry Sadowitz- anyone who can go on stage in Canada and start with 'Hello Moose Fuckers!' is fine by me (he also outed Jimmy Saville 25 years before the media feigned their shock and outrage at 'finding out')

Bernard Manning .

A genius , the way he delivered a joke was unsurpassed . Yes he was a bit below the belt and was as far from being pc as you could get , but in his time he was the best out there .

I saw him many times live , at his club in Sheffield , and at many gentlemen’s evenings up and down the UK .

This may explain why so many if my posts and opinions are not the type to make the pc parade happy . I grew up with this !

Dave Kitson and Stewart Lee for me. Although comedy is now seen as the hew rock and roll, with comedians selling out arenas, I happen to think there is a lack of genuinely good comedians. It's all down to personal taste but most of the ones mentioned really do nothing for me. The ones who appear regularly on panel shows I find to be very poor.

Like I say, it's each to their own and just because I don't like a set of comedians doesn't mean everyone else shouldn't either.

Mickey Flanagan because I grew up in east London and it’s like going back home.

Stewart Lee because he makes me think and laugh too.

Les Dawson because he was a master of the dry delivery.

Dave Allen because of his affability and that finger.

Kathy Burke because she doesn’t give a fuck.
