Planet Ork

Ultravox when they reformed in 2009. Saw Chas & Dave last Xmas and they were great. Barry Manilow was enjoyable this year. Madness, Whitesnake and Heaven 17 were all good shows. Future Islands have a great front man. Finally a concert we really enjoyed at the time but unfortunately leaves a nasty feeling about it now was Gary Glitter.

Madness on their first (I think!) comeback tour in 1994.

Prince at the o2 in 2007.

Rolling Stones at Twickenham 2004

- may not have been their best performance, but as a show it was utterly fantastic.

AC/DC at Wembley Arena in 1990.

999 are brilliant live, so much better than there studio albums. Sham69 are mental with an even more mental mosh pit.

But recently I saw Adam Ant and his new band at Brighton Centre. I was blown away as he belted out all my old favs from the albums Kings of the Wild Frontiers and Dirk Wears White Socks.

He’s like 62 now, and still touring. I would recommend them. Top band.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers when James Brown supported them was pretty good.

Others that I rated were Linkin Park, Slipknot, Stereophonics, Depeche Mode, Bullet for My Valentine, Feeder, Chemical Brothers, Aerosmith and Alter Bridge.

I saw ELO recently. I'm not really a fan but I can listen to their hits. I was given a ticket so I went along, thinking I may be wishing it away part the way through.

I don't ever recall ever seeing a band whose live music sounded so much like their recordings. Mightily impressed, would go again.

Airbourne, their live shows are like nothing else!

I've seen many of the big bands and all have been amazing, but the wildest rock show I've been to is Airbourne, leaving the venue bruised, deaf, drenched in beer and sweat and grinning ear to ear

my own little sanctuary

Not seen many but highly suspect was amazing, saw them at Manchester uni student union (150/200) people.

Now they do coachella and other big festivals etc. For me it's that intimacy of the Gig that makes it special, and the company played a big part in why it'll always be my fondest memory in terms of music

Neds are fucking brilliant live and a seriously underated band. There's so much more to them than a daft name and 2 bass players. They were ace back in the day but if anything I prefer them now it's just a hobby and the occasional gig for them as it's obvious how much they are enjoying themselves.
