Next door neighbor had his car stolen last night/early morning. From arriving to driving off 12 seconds!! They used one of those key signal gizmo’s that electronically activates your key signal from outside, which turned off the alarm and unlocked the door. I wish they hadn’t gotten rid of the old rotor arm system, no rotor arm... your going nowhere.

Yep new tech...contactless cards, keyless start, cashless society etc...jeez it's all downhill from here. Back to horse and cart I say!

I had mine stolen last year. Not a nice feeling. Only had the car about a month.

Do the thieves record the signal that your own key emits somehow or just stop your car system from being active? Do they then need a key or is it done via keyless cars?

I'm a bit against contactless cards, as huge losses in multiples of £30 could be run up

I had a ford focus rs, now one night my alarm was activated on my drive gates, and caught 2 lads sat in the car with it running the third one was trying to pull the gates down with a transit tipper, i dont think they expected me to come out stark bollock nacked with a shotgun

Needless to say i sold the car shortly after

good for you!

My dad always said if he woke in the night to find someone in the house or trying to steal his car they’d find themselves on the wrong end of his 12 bore. These days I doubt he’d hit them if he tried as it’s so long since he went shooting

I had my ignition barrel on my Mercedes Sprinter Van stolen and they took the ECU unit it Cost me £1600
