threatening winter as I walked.

That's the opening line from 'Above the Clouds'. It's a beautiful song by the Wellerman and its made for days like this.

The first threat of winter is in the air, the chill is with us. I'm going to stubbornly walk the dog in my shorts soon (me, not him) just to front it up and tell the season that it won't take me down, even though I know it will in the end.

It's not that cold that we need our hats and scarves yet but when I'm out shopping later they'll be there, the winter wimps, dressed for an avalanche.

How will you attire on this bright Autumn day?

I bet you any money I count more scarves and woolly hats than I do women in sweatshirts.

He's underrated for some of the beautiful songs and lyrics that he comes up with.

There's a great video on youtube of him playing this whilst on a train.

I am attired in dungarees and a stripey t-shirt! It’s baking day.

I'm in jeans and a t shirt but I'm not venturing out.

I do love this time of year though. Skirts or skinny jeans with long boots. Love it.

Well I got that one wrong, it was positively barmy out there today. They were frying eggs on the pavement by me and there's talk of a hosepipe ban if this keeps up throughout the week.

I still saw one guy in an overcoat and a scarf whilst out shopping though. He didn't even have the scarf just draped over him either, it was wrapped around his neck.
