I never took medication. I personally am not a fan of lavender but that was the only "flavour" i could find in a spray for pillow which should help you relax before sleep. Try it. Boots sell it.

I don't sleep a lot but I find I get my best sleep when I physically wear myself out

Yes but it’s due to excitement so I’m waiting for it to pass

It sounds daft - but I have an app that plays rain noise and if I listen to that I am asleep in minutes. Just a thought.

I actually slept last night the first time all week. But I'm usually a insomniac, I can fall asleep but wake numerous times in the night. I wish I had advice, Ive tried everything

You could have sleep apnea, if you fall asleep but wake up often!

I’ve always had trouble sleeping. I recently downloaded an app to my Apple Watch that monitors your sleep pattern. My sleep is truly shocking and on average I sleep 3-4 hours per night. Admittedly being a shift worker doesn’t help my sleep pattern either and neither does the stresses of my job.

I feel your pain OP

My sleep is usually awful - I find that I sleep better when I'm physically exhausted - go for a long walk, cycle or whatever you like doing.

Get up at the same time every day.

Valerian herb from Holland and Barrett.

A cool bedroom that's completely dark.

Best of luck x
