How extensively have you travelled? I just watched a great wee video about a 6 month old girl who's parents have whisked her off to the 50 states of the USA on their parental leave.

Where do you want to go? Where should we visit?

I havn't travelled very far at all, Greece being about my limit.

I would go to Iceland and Norway first. And come home via somewhere warm on the way back to defrost.

I think that’s a bit of a waste on a 6 month old, maybe when she’s a few years older and can remember it! She won’t remember a thing!

I’m quite fortunate to have been able to travel both with work and personally quite extensively, not bad for someone who’s foreign language skills are woeful!

I love going to different places and seeing different ways of doing things, but it’s always nice to come home too!

Like Lib I'm definitely going hiking off around the world. But it'll be next year. I want to try and get back to the US but also get to India (hopefully the erotic carvings in kerala) and Africa. I'm hoping it'll be a good way to meet like minds and have some adventures at the same time

The u.s is incredible, so diverse and the states differ so much and also so much to see.

My favourite i think is south africa, paragliding off tabletop mountain, we stayed in the country in a hotel within a nature reserve, it was just amazing and they arnt cruel whatso ever to the animals.

We love visiting new places both in the UK and abroad.

Cal also lived in Germany as a child and has done a fair bit if cycling in Europe.

Between us we have visited most Western European counties.

Not been further afield than Turkey yet, but we have lots of years of exploring to go.

Really don't understand people who go on holiday to the same place year after year.

"I'm very well travelled. My love for travel started aged 18 and I'm very lucky to have seen a lot of this beautiful world. Apart from Australia. I have an Aunt living in Melbourne, so that's on the list before I die! "

Melbourne is probably the best bit of Oz that I've seen, out of Cairns, the Sunshine Coast (extensively - my Mum lives there), Brisbane, Sydney and there. It's the most European in character and has a little more culture than the rest of the places I've seen.

New Zealand was nicer, toured around a fair bit of both North and South Islands, and it is just a fantastically beautiful country. Truly awesome, in the proper sense of the word.

Favourite place so far is probably Vietnam, despite not really being able to put my finger on why...but also loved Myanmar and Indonesia (though I only did a bit - Bali, Gili Islands, Flores, Rinca For the dragons, Mt Bromo, Borobodur, Prambanan and Yogyakarta in Java, Tangkoko and Bunaken Island in Sulawesi...apparently if you did a different island every day you'd be going for something ridiculous like 17 years!)

Thailand we've ruined, Cambodia is obviously great for all the temples at Siem Reap (though Bagan in Myanmar rivals it) but all the sex tourists in Phnom Penh are a bit grim.

Generally the metropolitan big South East Asian cities are absolutely fantastic if you like eating and shopping...but if you're the more cultural sort there might not be so much appeal...KL is kinda boring, Hong Kong better, and Singapore is surprisingly good too. China and Japan are interesting just for the sheer level of culture clash...

Outside of Asia & Australasia I've not done huge amounts - never been to Africa or South America, only done tiny fraction of the Caribbean (Jamaica and Dominican Republic), small bits of the States (San Francisco, LA, Vegas, New York, Washington), Europe I've only really done a smattering of - been a few places in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and only Vienna, Prague and Budapest, and in the UK it's embarrassing how little I've seen of it! Done Wales but never been to Scotland or Ireland, never seen the Peak District, Lake District...there are probably a good proportion of Australians that have seen more of this country than I have!

The camera obscura does look interesting but I have inner ear problems and I was worried it might make me feel dizzy.

I didn't go in the Imperial War Museum at Salford, because it is designed to be disorientating.

I'm a bit stuffed for travelling at the mo

I suffer from pretty bad 'panic attacks' / anxiety on planes

I can hold it together for an hour or two but I can bring an attack on just by thinking about a transatlantic type flight

My other half is petrified of deep / dark water so won't go on a boat

So, we are pretty much stuck in Europe til we both get a grip

Limbo

I've been lucky enough to visit France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Sardinia, Corfu, Cyprus, Jamaica, St Lucia, Puerto Rico, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Australia, Bulgaria.

I've been to Egypt three times and for those saying about the encroachment of modern buildings by the Pyramids, it kind of depends which angle you're seeing them from - after all, they're huge. I'm not sure you can appreciate just how huge without seeing them for real. The first time I went was 30 years ago, and travelled all round well off the beaten tourist track on a converted army truck. Saw some amazing things like underground tombs in the absolute arse end of nowhere, and slept out on the top of Mount Sinai. Sadly, I think it'd be unadvisable to travel like that now.

I'd love to see more of the UK actually - I've never been to Scotland for example. But without being able to be spontaneous what puts me off exploring the UK more is using up holiday and having the weather turn wet, cold and miserable - even in summer. I'd love to go back to Australia's Northern Territory again and return to Petra in Jordan but my absolute no.1 bucket list destination/experience would be to see mountain gorillas in Rwanda or Uganda.

Nope - not at all. It made me think about how enjoyable and fulfilling travel is - that's all. However, I do imagine it was fun for the parents and I do hope for that wee girls sake she does her own exploring in the future.

Yeah, I really fancy Bhutan!

Something so appealing about their outlook on life - they measure Gross National Happiness (how, I have no idea) instead of GDP.

Think it's something like a flat $200 a day tourist charge, but that includes all your food, accommodation etc

We both like traveling and we've done two new countries this year (Andorra and Morocco).

Her has lived (i think) in 11 countries including interesting places like Moscow and dull places like Belgium (running joke - I'm now in trouble!)

I also get to travel for work - I'm writing this from Sydney- so I think we're both around 30 countries each, but not the same ones necessarily. Finding new places then is slightly more tricky! I think I'm on 17 different US states .

Must do places for me:

Japan - mad, wonderful place

Florence - beautiful

Yosemite- stunning!

Hmm

I think my last count was about 70 countries. Favourite place I’d love to return to is Fiji, South Africa is somewhere I’d love to go.

"A decent amount.

Where you off to on your travels now you’re free from the shackles of the man?

Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, etc.

I'll probably never get out of Bangkok though knowing me. "

Oh wonderful, you’ll have a ball!

I haven't travelled nearly enough but I plan to rectify that when my daughter gets a bit older, I want her to experience all she can and know that the world is hers if she wants it.

"Not particularly well.

Born in Canada. Really want to go back.

Always dreamt about taking a year off a just going wherever the breeze takes me...*sighs* just came back from Ontario

Absolutely love Canada.

Looked at moving there.

Alberta and BC mainly for me.

Where you from?

Jellyfish

Was it wonderful?
