Where does the sky start ?

To an ant the sky is above a flower, to humans the sky is where mountains and skyscrapers touch. So is the sky a perception relative to each person, is it therefore the same as the reality we experience. For example, Brussels sprouts must taste the same and yet some people love them and some hate them ?!

I don't mind baby sprouts. They don't stink.

Or roasted with garlic and olive oil.

How high the sky is depends how low the clouds are

Anyone who doesn't like sprouts is weird!

The sky starts where the land or the sea, or anything on them, ends, regardless of the sea level. Everyone will agree where the sky starts from any particular position. But there are some odd sods who don't agree that sprouts are yummy.

Just to clarify, this is not a thread about brussel sprouts, it’s more about our perception of things in relation to where the sky starts. I was merely using Brussel sprouts as an example, of how people experience the same thing differently. I repeat this is not a thread about Brussel sprouts. Over.

Of course it does. It's physics and sciencey stuff innit.

The sky doesn't exist! What we perceive as sky is light bouncing about on gaseous assorted air molecules, therefore the perceived sky starts where air starts which is around 2 to 4" under ground

Ooooh I like this question

The sky is the air around you... if you’re horizintal on your towel on the beach it’s vertical to you and hopefully blue...

If you’re on a mountain side carving down a slope it’s heavy in the air around you but could span for as far as you can see...

Great question... where does it start?
