Hello folks, I am planning to meet up with a friend in Southampton making use of a hotel booked via Dayuse web site but have seen a few bad reviews about bookings not being made. We don't want to turn up and find out the room is not available!

Just wondered if anyone has used them and can vouch for them being legit.

Cheers

Travelodge smell weird and you can't check in til 3pm.

Day use you generally get a nicer hotel, available from around 10am.

Phone the hotel direct and ask if the booking has been made.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

They are fine, used a few different ones in the past and never had any issues with them.

The staff are well aware why people book the rooms for the day and tend to give you a room well out of the way of other guests.

No problems with them just get some awkward smiles when colecting card/keys and handing them back occasionally

Glasgow

Never had a problem with dayuse.com. There was another site called 9-5.com, we turned up to find room not available even after a confirmation email had been received.

I did look at that approach but as Minnie the minx has said the check in time is later which does not work for us. The prices quoted on the website are also not bad ranging from £45 to £65. Cheers for responding.

Sounds ideal being out of the way so don't have to be concerned about any noise.

You should do this. I have had a couple of occasions where this happened, although thankfully on both occasions the hotel was able to find me a room.

You can get a 12 noon early check-in at a Travelodge, for an extra tenner, just call the hotel once you've done the online booking

I've also used other day use hotels with no issues

OK. That sounds like a good alternative. Cheers.
