I saw this somewhere before but couldn't find it again so apologies for repeating but...

Recommendations for stockings/hold-ups that actually come to the top of your thigh rather than just over my knees (I'm not even tall) bonus points if the hold-ups stay up!!!

Anne Summers stockings are brilliant and their hold ups stay up! They both have a very fine elasticated band that helps to hold in place

Another nod for Primark. I've tried all kinds of fancy ones but Primark win. Stay up all night and cheap too

Hiding in the shadows

I used to recommend Tesco hold ups, plenty long enough for my 37" legs and cheap as chips.

But they've changed the band at the top from lace to 2 satin stripes & just not the same.

I've ordered more pairs off Amazon than I can count, all too short!

So only place I'm buying now is Ann Summers. Not cheap but I know they fit.

Don't find LH stockings and holdups very good. Sent the last lot back. Cheap fabric and far too small.

I prefer M and S as the sizing is accurate

Their ones stand up to the test of time and come right up to the tops of my thighs with great ease.

I use Jasper Conran hold ups, they come all the way up to the top of my thigh. Not bad considering I have fairly long legs.

I’ll get castigated for this no doubt, but, more ladies should wear quality lingerie / hosiery. It makes a real difference. The cheap stuff doesn’t fit well and and the material is inferior.

You can pick some heavily discounted AP ( Agent Provocateur ) lingerie up across a number of select sites, so it doesn’t have to cost the earth.

More out of comfort tbh.

When out being a slut , the only choice is hold ups. But when out doing normal things, a mini skirt. Leather seats and stockings mean you stick to the car seat. Then there’s is this skirt covering the back end... or is that car tooting and those wolf whistles for a reason...

This......though some of the brands can be a bit on the expensive side. But quality costs.

Agree. This is a great site and lots of choice. I'm 5ft 9in and never had a pair too short for wearing with a mini skirt - and that includes the cheapest ones that they sell. Very quick delivery service too.

I heartily agree. I have really huge thighs and they have never let me down yet. Stockings and hold ups get my vote plus they’re usually buy one get one half price.

Tesco do the 2pack with the banded tops, and fashion hold ups, with a lace top, both good and long, apparently

Off to try Primark on the recommendations.

Wow, wish I'd seen this previously, looks a fantastic site - yes a bit pricey but if they fit the tree trunk legs...
