Should photo verification be part of the joining process?

Would it be better if photo verification was part of the joining process? I've had several experiences of people with new profiles who delete messages and stop chatting as soon as they become friends, or leave the site when they've added an X number of friends. I accept some of these could be due to changing their minds about being on Fab etc but I'm sure a lot are fake profiles and pic collectors. If members needed to be photo verified when joining maybe it would stop the fake profiles?

Some people won't want their face photos, with their Fabswingers user name, kept on a server that could be hacked.

It might deter others from joining too.

You don't have to use a face photo to be photo verified.

Depends on what you want to stop. A lot of fakes ping up red flags and as you say disappear fast so are easy to avoid. I'm not sure photo verification would stop them, and if it's that they're the wrong gender I reckon even a tech numpty like me could figure out a fake veri photo.

It'll stop a certain sex abusing the system.

I just thought it may stop people being able to make fake profiles (Men pretending to be women and vice versa) and Fab members would know that the pics on a profile are definitely who they say they are so to speak.
