What are your thoughts about the lottery?

A bit of fun or a waste of time and money?

There and to the left a bit

I play it and Euromillions each week in the vain hope that "it could be me" - however I do think that it's a shame it's run more as a business than something to help charities these days.

I also dislike the changes that have been made that have made it harder to win in an effort to seemingly push up the jackpot to make it more attractive - would much rather see regular winners of smaller, yet still life changing, amounts than the multiple rollovers and huge jackpots we see now.

It's a bit of a waste of money. I'll buy a couple of lucky dips every two or three months.

I personally don't do the lottery as I find no enjoyment in it plus I feel the chances of not winning are greater than the chances of actually winning.

The lottery is kind of like bingo as you never know what numbers will come up and there are many other people playing as well.

Does anyone think scratchcards are more easier to win than the lottery?

I think the odds are better for scratchcards..

I have won more money on them than from doing the lottery

Im not so keen on the scratchcards for the reason you may win a bit easiser. Its never much and its always spent on more cards. Its a slippery gambling slope whenever ive watched people buying them

Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight

I have the app where you can scan the ticket, love it when you get a winning tone as opposed to the obviously lost one.

Never had one with more than three numbers though. The one day I did score just the three, I learned my then out of work son gave up his cigarette money to feed a homeless guy. I Just gave him the ticket and told him karma is real. So proud of him.
