In this busy festive season let's think kindly of our brave traffic wardens helping us to keep the yellow lines clear.

When we get that inevitable ticket, let's not lose our cool, just wish them the very best.

Post your wishes here if you like

Nr Chester

They're only human. They're only doing their jobs. It is a complete myth that they amass bonuses for those that choose to ignore the laws and those that overstay their welcome.

A big yay for their professionalism. Without them all the City entres would be chaos.

In fact if we see one today we'll echo this in the name of Fab xx

My dad was a traffic warden for many years, his job was to keep the roads clear... roads marked with yellow lines are done so for a reason, parking there causes an obstruction.... he had been spat on, threatened with violence and personal harm but it was a job he enjoyed

Norfolk

apparantly in Norwich we have the shortest stretch of double yellow lines in the country (according to BBC radio 5 in case anyone knows different) at just 17 inches long

I always thought traffic wardens was the outcome and offspring of a referee and a prossie having a fling!

And don't forget your car park ticket. If you have a few hours left on it and you are leaving, pass it on.

I did this in Epsom yesterday and received the sweetest smile (admittedly I looked for the prettiest recipient I could find, but, I am a bloke)
