Here and There

I'd say 1975-1985 some really diverse sounds emerged from that period.

Too right; in between the Stock Aitken and Waterman and the X Factor/Simon Cowell sausage factory music

Plus you had the madchester scene

North Bucks

90’s Cool Britannia And Raves were still good. I spent a summer in Ibiza and for me that decade was just magical.

(I may be too old to appreciate a Rave these days so they may still be good)

"I'd say 1975-1985 some really diverse sounds emerged from that period."

I would agree with that so many later artists just mimicked earlier styles.

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact

Had this discussion in the pub in the summer. Our conclusion was same as suggested above. Late 70s to early 80s. The artists and songs were both great. There were a variety of genres all credible. Technology was being explored. New genres were being spawned. Every box ticked in our view.

Is a "credible" genre one you like?

Grangemouth

Sound wise, definitely the 80's. But the decade that had/has most influence on music must have been the 70's.

I love all the genres really for different aspects. I love the early 90s dance house music. Love the 80s pop, 70s classics. Nothing past 2000 though that I can resonate with really.
