So, let me get this straight....

It verifies that you are human and the sex you state you are? That's it?

You can then put up as many fake pics as you like and you're unchallenged?

So why do people put so much importance into being photo verified?

Don't see the point?

Enlighten me please.

I think initially to stop men listing as women. But yeah, beyond that there’s nothing to prevent uploads of fakes.

I'm not photo verified, happy to cam though and got verifications from doing that, as well as from meeting.

Dunno why people care, you could've been pic verified years ago and look completely different now.

It's very open to fakery.My verification picture shows me in malemode holding a piece of paper with my previous profile name.I'd never believe it was me,but luckily I have real life verifications instead!

Photo verification doesn't even prove you're the gender you say you are necessarily - with middling Photoshop skills they're easily faked.

Am aware of a profile on here now on it's fourth or fifth iteration whose pics are all borrowed from the same site albeit different sets of pics for each profile - yet it's photo verified - so is either a man with Photoshop skills or a lady who for some reason has chosen to use someone else's pics.

Then there's the profile which until recently was using a picture of a soldier killed in Afghanistan in 2006 - which mercifully has been removed- but continues to use one of a friend of Prince Harry and another that is actually a woman in a masked fancy dress costume. And that profile is meet as well as photo verified!!

So they count for not a lot with some people

When even the photo verify pic can be faked, it amazes me that people put so much faith in it.

Why are people so bothered? They don't understand what it's supposed to demonstrate and they think it's a guarantee of something it's not.

I saw someone saying PV was better than a meet veri a while back.
