Cheese is having a go at growing one (my request really) it looks ok so far for two weeks, what's others think of them? I'm liking it so far.

They look good on some - not so good on others in my opinion. But it’s all down to what you like!

It’s not for me .. I like to be relatively clean shaven although can’t be arsed to shave over weekends and only very intermittently on holidays!

I'm never clean shaven. Tend to 0.5 it once/twice a week depending. Plus have to be careful if it's too cold or I'll get the dreaded man flu

I like facial fuzz

BUT like all 'trends' the wearer needs to decide whether they can pull it off and that it suits them

They don't suit all guys

Some guys don't grow nice ones and just end up looking scruffy

I personally can barely stand the beard trend, nor the tattoo trend.........moreso the 'must have' aspect

to me I just see lots of similar people..hardly an expression of being 'unique'

We don't judge any book by its cover, but more from the conversations we have.

Yes I have my kinky desire for beards and tats, however I think that's because of my background and being surrounded by interesting people, however I do understand that it has become a fashion statement rather than an expression of one's self

This is true... I have had some kinda beard since my thirties... and my first tattoo when I was 17... have been called names and now it is a fashion... who knew...

Only 39, grew a beard few weeks ago - trimmed and looked after etc but a few grey areas. I got called Gandalf by a kid the other day!!

Time for it to go I think lol

Grew my beard & hair because I just stopped shaving and cropping my hair, no other reason. I've never been a fashion victim, in fact the complete opposite I've always worn/ looked like whatever the duck I liked regardless of what anyone else thinks or does.

Mine predates hipster, has attracted lots of positive comment and it’s own mention in some of my earlier veris.
