Favourite series of books are Philip Kerr’s Bernie Gunther novels closely followed by Philip Pullman’s dark materials or the original girl with the dragon tattoo trilogy. Single book is like choosing your favourite child so I’ll resist that

Typically, the Harry Potter series is my all time favourite.

But I like The Dollanganger series by V.C Andrews, I enjoyed Lolita, ASOIAF, A Series of Unfortunate Events (timeless), and Cathy Glass books. Oh and The Hunger Games.

I need to read new books, but I just go back and reread all of these. There’s a few more I enjoy but I can’t think right now

My favourite book is The nemesis file by Paul Bruce. To date it's the only book I've read twice. My first choice would be Martina Cole for an easy read or Peter Robinson for keeping you going to the very end x

Somewhere In The Ether…

An instruction manual for a circa 1985 Toshiba VHS player. You know, after all these years, I still can’t make head nor tails of it. Hell, it makes even the late Stephen Hawkins, ‘A Brief History Of Time’ seem simple by comparison

I could pretend to be all pseudo intellectual.. but the truth is I only really tend to read when I go on holiday and then I like to keep it very easy on the thinking!!

So on my last holiday I read An Idiot Abroad by Karl Pilkington (both books) and the Secret Footballer. Yes, I’m that shallow!!

Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth was a masterpiece and i devoured it with relish. Imagine my excitement to discover it had been made into a television series and my utter disappointment to realise it was complete shite. Some things are best left alone.

There and to the left a bit

Favourite of all time has to be Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks - truly moved me when I read it.

Favourite series is the Roy Grace books by Peter James they're unputdownable!!

Used to also like Alex Cross (James Paterson) but lost interest when they became a bit clichéd and went down the co-author route.

Tom Thorne series (Mark Billingham) ate worth an honourable mention, although the last couple have gone off the boil a little.
