What song did you dance to for your first dance at your wedding?

If you’re not married, what song would you want?

Ours was The Weird Sisters - Magic works (yes, shocking I know)

Hiding in the shadows

I honestly can't remember... I've done pretty good job of blocking a lot of memories out.

I Will Survive, was played several times at my divorce party though

Short listed contenders were;

A slow version of Calvin Harris - Feel So Close

Coldplay - Magic Works

Cat Power - Sea of Love

Lana Del Rey - Young and Beautiful (felt that was a bit vain)

Elvis - can’t help falling in love

Beyoncé - Halo (but my auntie and uncle used this and at the time had only been broken up a year as he kept cheating on her. So I couldn’t do that too her)

From the movie Tangled - I see the light.

And loads more

But my friend suggested Magic Works and well, it totally fits. She cheered during our first dance and I burst into happy tears

"If I was going to marry!..

Oh we considered this too!

My mum and dad thought it was hilarious. We did play it later on in the evening

We didn't have a first dance, or toasts or speeches.

If I got married again I would give him a lap dance to Christina Milian-Dip it Low.

We didn't have a first dance either. I think my dad gave a speech but that was it.

I'm not married (never have been) but I'm an old romantic at heart and I'll often hear a song and think that would make a great first dance song.

Van Morrison's Crazy Love certainly fits the bill for me...or maybe Harvest Moon by Neil Young.

I'd quite like this I think. Obviously we'd get married in January.

Indeed. His song When The Deal Goes Down is on the list as well
