Is it pointless winking or sending a message to someone miles away from your area?

Your views?

I don’t even look at winks if I’m honest and I can’t really travel miles because of children so for me yeah it would be. But a lot do travel I believe.

North Somerset

Personally I don't get time to answer all my messages let alone messages from someone 200 miles away who I'm never going to meet...

I like to meet people socially and try and answer the messages I get from people I've met.

I’d look and if of interest I’d send a wink back or heavens forbid a message but it does depend on distance x

It can work but I'd say it's not got a high chance of success

I don’t even look at my winks. Unless someone who is from the forums messages me (and they’re miles away) I won’t reply to anyone who’s miles away. No point. I don’t travel and I don’t think I’d feel comfortable having someone travel miles and miles just to meet me. Feels too pressured.

Would still feel too pressured imo. I’m chatting to one person from England who I’m seriously considering meeting and he is willing to travel up. I’ve had a ‘connection’ with other people but I still wouldn’t feel comfortable at all

Yeah I don't understand people who randomly do it. I generally don't reply unless it's someone from the forums who I figure at least has seen me around and either thinks we'd get on to chat or would be worth making the effort for.

Greater London

We quite like using winks to indicate if we’re interested or not the distance thing isn’t something that we really worry about as most people like to travel out of there area now and again. xxx

Distance can be looked at as an adventure.

Depends on whether you like travelling and have a vehicle to get there, you are loaded and can splash out on train tickets or they are so gorgeous you'd break the bank just to meet them.

I came in the first option, I love driving my car any distance and love seeing new places

I think someone quite liked their adventure down to London last September

Camberley/Middleton

I wouldn't say totally pointless if they are miles away but winking is a bit of a waste of time as I see it.

Yes that’s true I speak to people from the forums but otherwise I don’t.
