Do you ever look at someone posting in the forum and realise once you’ve clicked on their profile it won’t let you and they’ve blocked you?

Do people block just by views people express via the forums??

Yeah I think they do as it happens to me... they wouldn't come across me usually so it has to be from the forums

Hiding in the shadows

I have.

I've commented on threads, I wasn't rude, but gave an honest opinion - which was asked for, and recieved an abusive message in return.

I've also blocked people as I found their attitude & certain comments offensive, but only after I noticed they'd viewed my profile several times.

I don't wish to interact in any way with such people.

Some people will also block people that live near to them as a matter of course.

Yes. If I find attitudes repulsive and there's evidence that they engage in behaviour which is a deal breaker for me, and they live remotely near me, I block them. Saves everyone time, as I won't meet them.

I don't bother as there's no point.. i don't read most of my messages anyway so I'll happily ignore a message from forum folk. I wouldn't know if I've been blocked... probably have though...I only look at profiles of those I'm interested in.

I suppose it can be seen as a good tool, especially if someone been on a bareback thread and is open they play that way, least by blocking them they can’t never contact you.

I don't tend to look at profiles too much so I wouldn't know (unless there's clunge on display).

If someone seems to be quite hostile I occasionally/rarely block just to stop any shenanigans.

I've been blocked by profiles I don't recognise, so just assume someone has looked and decided that I'm a minger or a loon (or both)

I never message anyone first, so I know it's not from messaging

Either way, it's their choice and it's had no direct effect on me, so I just go about my business, momentarily bewildered, but unaffected

Yes, I've noticed it a couple of times.

I tend to use the notes option instead of the block button.

I get blocked all the time because of my forum posts.

At least they have formed an opinion of me rather than total indifference*.

I wouldn't want to fuck them anyway so it is their loss**

*Better that someone has taken the time to click on my profile and actively block. It shows they have read what I have written and formed an opinion, albeit negative.

**This is the standard reaction by a male whenever they are blocked. It does not imply that the poster feels that the blocker has lost out in any way. They still have to read my inane bollocks in the forums so I will continue to wind them up.

You may not be blocked because of a forum thread, possibility yes,but there are other reasons people block others.

You may have messaged them in the past.

They might have disagreed with an update on your profile.

Your profile might not be what they are looking for.

Many reasons.

Fab life isn't all about the forums.

I've only been blocked by one profile I think, and we'd never interacted so I thought it was odd. Turns out they've blocked a few other single ladies on the forums anyway.

Yes they do! Nobody should be all that surprised really.

If you come across as a twat or start being personal on a thread then yes the block button will be used, I've done it a few times, and had it done to me, it is what it is
