In a town Fab forgot

I've got a rant.......

7 months ago I went to the funeral of one of my very best friends. He was one of three brothers and we were all really close friends. We drank together, worked together, shared the good times and looked out for each other in the bad times.

Next week I'm going to the joint funerals of the two remaining brothers who passed away within 8 days of each other.

We always hear that there's someone worse of than you.

Yes there is, it's a grieving devoted mother who's burying all three of her wonderful sons within a few months of each other.

My rant is at incurable illness and fate.

Oh my god, that is so sad. That poor lady, no one should have to attend the funeral of their child, let alone 3 within a few months. That's heartbreaking. Big hugs to you too

Whoah, puts petty disputes on a casual sex site into perspective doesn’t it! I agree - what and awful thing for any parent to have to bury their child, one is tragic but to do it to three in under a year is horrific and unbearable. I don’t know the family (obviously) but I genuinely feel for them!

I remember you posting about your friend and now his 2 brothers have joined him, that’s so so tragic. Their poor mother coping with a tragedy that should never happen, children dying before their parents. Life is so cruel, I hope their mother has family and friends around her to give her strength and support

After a contact lens related drama at the weekend, a trip to the GP on Monday being told I had a small scratch on the membrane & a conjunctivitis.

Yesterday spending all day in A&E, with blood pouring from my eye.

Turns out I have severe corneal abrasions, an infection (not conjunctivitis) which had spread to my eyeball & optic nerve.

The plus side, I may keep 50% of my vision in thst eye
