I saw a status saying about being in hospital and hoping some family memver pulls through. I thought that sort of status was done on FB not on here.

I don't take much notice of statuses. Some people use them to let people they have met that they aren't available.

Years ago there was someone local to me whose stauses were like a soap opera

For added comedy this was usually within the span of little more than a week and would be repeated every couple of months

If I needed my real friends for support, I would ring them "

I find it easier to let them all know at once on Facebook - it also gives them the freedom to respond or not, and sometimes even a few typed words can help.
