I think it’s fair, we should have number places for cyclists horses mobility scooters, while we are at it children’s scooters, prams pushchairs those sack truck things removal men use.

People on roller skates definitely people on skate boards also those electric hover board things. As well as segways.

If your settee has wheels but not casters it should have a number plate.

I’m currently looking at getting a personalised plate for my office chair.

Hiding in the shadows

I heard this on the radio earlier.

As a school running it on a local basis, it would work, and I approve of the idea.

On a national scale it would be totaly unworkable, its been discussed numerous times in the cycling community.

I do have a 'plate' on the seat post one of my bikes, it's my race number, including timing chip and has the league I'm affiliated to on it.

But for the everyday/casual cyclist keeping a national data base, the cost wouldn't be effective.

Well, yes, one for if they passed the proficiency test and one for if they haven’t, the amount who commit offences that would lead to warnings and fines for motorists is staggering.

Particularly not stopping at pedestrian crossings.

Damn it they are the worst ones, it could have a floatation device attached for when they invariably end up in the canal
