Why oh why do some annoying people tap their ciggeret on the box? What are they hopping to achieve? Dunno why but it really, really, really winds me up.

You mean people still smoke cigarettes

I thought everyone was on those stupid electronic things. Not seen a real ciggy smoker in ages

There and to the left a bit

When I smoked I used to do this - the reason being to tap out any loose or dry tobacco at the end of the cigarette

On a flight recently, I was sat next to a guy who clicked his seatbelt buckle solid for 2 hours

I gave him my best death stare

He stopped and then strummed his fingers on the buckle instead

I was demented when I got off that plane

Knowing several smokers I once asked the op's question and this was the answer I got.

Smoking still popular down this end of the Country, sadly.

I take comfort in the fact their teeth will rot and fall out, they have low sperm count, impotence, clogged arteries, lungs full of tar, smelly breath ............
