This topic isnt to do with preference, as thats fine but ive noticed some people seem have somewhat of a size complex when they see someone they like and dont feel comfortable in themselves to have a partner who weighs significantly less than they do for a multitude of reasons. From public image to being conscientious of their significant other

While i can understand, there really isnt anything to be concious about.

Real problem i have is that society promotes the exact oposite to what i just said

i dont get it. honestly wouldnt surprise me if the thread is shot down but hey what do i know.

No way! Everyone has different preferences no amount of brainwashing/influence is going to change what people are attracted to. I’m often attracted to slim men and thankfully some of those slim men are attracted to me, just like I regularly see larger men with slim ladies......... does it really matter as long as everyone is happy

Yes some women will do, it’s about being comfortable getting naked with someone that looks different to them. I’m attracted to the person not their waistline, not that gym fit men are my thing but slim or dad bod is fine with me x

I have actually had women say to me that they don’t want to meet cos they are absolutely convinced they aren’t my type physically without even exchanging a word before hand!

I agree that our society subtly points is in the direction of slim is beautiful and we end up buying into it.

I’m more attracted to the person than their body size or shape. My partner is slim, medium build, not particularly hairy & only a couple of inches taller than me. My ex is 8 inches taller, broad & hairy all over. What they have that attracted me is eyes that smile, a personality that sparks with mine, the ability to make me laugh and kisses that give me butterflies.

Don’t care what media or society think I should or shouldn’t do. My happiness is my business & no one else’s!!

I think most women are body conscious though. I must admit I’ve had messages from men with perfect toned gym bods and thought wtf does he want with me with my size 14 to 16 Mum bod and at times I’ve probably not even answered because of that. Probably sounds stupid but it’s just the way I think.

I was skinny up until about 11 and then I ballooned in girth and gelatinous content. Oh how I long for those carefree days.

As for big women not liking skinny guys. I dont think thats true at all. Otherwise i'd be up to my navel in lady bits.

With me though is self confidence. This time last year I was happy with how I looked so was more confident in myself because I felt good. I had the attitude that I’m happy so if someone doesn’t like me I’m not bothered. I’ve put a bit of weight on this year through one thing and another so I’m not happy with myself and it sort of makes me think how can someone fancy me looking like this! Hard to explain but I know what I mean! I’m not moaning though as I can do something about it obviously. Just need to get the motivation back and get this lazy lardarse in gear!

In all honisty id say the oposit, i had much more luck when i was 8.5 stone (mainly curvy women) now im touching 13stone and 'gym fit' i dont have much luck at all

I was incredibly overweight like morbidly obese when I met MrH. He’s always been exactly the same weight as an adult - slim with 32” waist on a fat day

sometimes he’s more muscular other times not.

I’m obviously much much slimmer now but my personality is the same so I guess that says it all

I’ve never been one to approach men whatever my size, way too lacking in confidence, but people have always been attracted to me anyway, not necessarily sexually I hasten to add, because I smile A LOT and talk to anyone.

One thing though - generally people treat you very differently when you’re as big as I was. Wow I was shocked. Even as far as being turned down for jobs. Used to anger me greatly but I’m much more chilled about it now and much as when I know someone isn’t happy due to their weight, it saddens me, I never judge as I’ve been there and know how easy it’s done in certain circumstances.

Ha. Thanks. It’s all about self confidence though whatever size you are. I’m happy at around a 14 (I’m tall too) but I’m pushing towards a 16 now. Many big women are happy with their weight and so are very confident and that’s fantastic. I really do think that whatever size, shape you are it all comes down to whether you’re happy with yourself.

but infact slim men generally are just as capable and see plus size women just as if not more desirable

Im fine with it being preference for what people like but if its based on a limitation then thats not right

I will admit that although I'm not particularly large I do have a bit of a hang up about being with very slim and super fit guys, I get a little self conscious.

That said in the moment it all fades away and being on here and getting so many compliments (even if some of the are just pure flattery) has made me more accepting of my body and realise others see the good bits where I see the bad.

I am one of those bigger girls that states on my profile, my preference for heavier build men. I was slimmer when I was younger, but preferred heavier build men all my life. No hang ups, just prefer a chunky man to slim. As I use this site for purely hedonistic pleasure, I chose to exclude slim men for my choices of playmates. If I was seeking a life partner, I would rely on meeting men in the vanilla world, then I imagine body shape would not be so important.

Hubby is 6’5 and weighs just over 10 stone. He’s clinically underweight and no matter what he does or how much he eats he never gains an ounce! He’s been the same since his teens and I doubt it’ll ever change now.

Myself on the other hand, I’m the opposite. Some would give me the label bbw (I hate that label) When we married my bmi was in the morbidly obese category. Since then I’ve lost 3 stone but I’m still clinically obese.

Size 24 or more now n i dont like what i see ,illness has dictated what size i am now and i hate it. I dont look at others sizes n say yes or no based on the size .

I like a slim guy. Not gym fit, slim. It’s not the totality of attraction but I definitely have a type.

Plus there’s sex stuff we can’t do if both bellies are banging together and getting in the way.

I'm definitely 'bigger' (size 16/18) and I like tall, slimmer men. A lot. I like the contrasts in our physiques and I don't really have the hang ups or worries, if they weren't that interested it would be easy enough to tell.

I don't think it's because women feel self conscious on the whole - more they like what they like.

Well I'm 5ft 2 and a size 12-14 and curvy, Mr is gym fit and 6ft 4. But Mr could gain 5 stone not go to the gym and I'd still find him as attractive, and that is for me it's all about being facially attractive.

If I find someone facially attractive the body attached to it doesn't really play a big part.

I can’t say I have avoided slim men in the past, I had a fab friend a few years ago that was quite slim and tbh he did fit well between my fat thighs
