I'm not looking forward to it at all, it's been a very lonely year since the last one and in spite of my best efforts there's no sign of that changing.

Shag! The shops have already started throwing festive stuff out on the shelves... No need to add to the premature Yuletide vibe! Bah, humbug!!

I usually hold Xmas on the 21st, because I am from England, then give presents on 27th cos I like the Spanish, or don't bother at all because I am not Christian

Christmas is great but only in December. It's annoying in September/October and just about passable in November.

I actually do want to do this. Not necessarily abroad but I have spent one xmas in Egypt before and I enjoyed it. Besides the crap Christmas lights at the bar nobody would have suspected it was xmas at all. Might even be cool just to spend it in a cabin somewhere in the countryside. I think hot weather will make it feel less festive though. I think I will start an anti xmas jolly abroad next year. Sign up here!
