That music that creeps into ears unexpectedly from the radio or memory that transports me elsewhere. There's lots of favourites for this, depending on where I need transporting from.

It is a powerful medium, I will admit. Music can touch the soul of a person and can be interpreted in so many different ways, but every single way is correct

I have an extremely diverse taste in music. When I put my music on shuffle will go from show tunes, to black metal, to Disney, to rap, to classical and so on and so forth.

I am quite literally obsessed with music

I’m torn between hip hop/gangster rap

And

Hardcore/screamo

Hip hop is just so varied and can be really hard fitting meaningful lyrics or there’s artists out there that are so controversial they don’t get much mainstream exposure....I love it all equally.

And the heavy music relaxes me

I get that, it's like jumping from Eminem to BMTH. There's a hell of a lot of power expressed in both genres.

Eminem’s early stuff is incredible, anyone who claims to be a fan and hasn’t listen to his infinite album is missing out on some fantastic lyrical word manipulation. Not so much of a fan of his new material. I can’t move on from the slim shady persona

And I have BMTH related tattoos

My tastes are so eclectic that when I list them I just sound like someone who listens to everything and anything. But music is central to who I am, and I make it too. So I'm extremely discerning and selective about what I listen to. It has to resonate with me. It's just that I listen widely to all sorts of genres and countries, exploring with a keen curiosity... and I have a complex personality that finds succour in a wide range of music styles from baroque adagios to hardcore underground tekno

I think it's fair to say that if radio one devoted one day per genre to playing its pick of every musical genre, they'd play all the crappest shit I can't stand in every style.

You have to dig deeper to find quality. Not accusing you of being a radio one listener. But unfortunately, dance music has suffered most from this issue. Hence my use of the all important word "underground"

Sounds like a lovely thing to witness Music fills me with pure joy. I love singing too. In fact I once got fired from a job for singing too much haha

I can't stand the majority of dance music either (as with jazz). But there's a core of stuff there which is totally amazing imo (as with jazz) and gets overlooked by most people due to the awfulness of all the other stuff (as with jazz)

I was going for Charlie Sheen. Not sure what a tiger from mars actually means

Charlie Sheen said that he was a tiger from Mars in an interview when he was off his head on cocaine.

Oh right, so we were on the same length. Starting to think you are not fake news after all.

I can be real news

Jury is still out on that. But you have time to prove yourself

Are you CIA on an undercover op?

Actually I work for Sydney Unive.....Wait, I've said too much

Don’t worry, I’m MI6 "

Interesting, have any pictures? For research purposes of course

"My tastes are so eclectic that when I list them I just sound like someone who listens to everything and anything.

Techno and dance music have to be the only areas in which I tend to avoid in music...Oh! And dubstep. I do not understand that."

If you’re meaning the Americanised dubstep such as skrillex, knife party etc. Have a listen to the roots of dubstep.

Have a listen to the likes of kyrptic minds or youngsta. Does help a lot if you have decent speakers/headphones that Will actually play the bass notes as most of it is below 40hz

Check this out, it’s awesome

I think possibly the missing ingredient here is..... I n t o x i c a t i o n!! When you do that and listen to music all this amazing detail comes out of the music. Good dance music is designed from the ground up to take on a massive dimensional shift when you are off your nut. That's why people who don't do that don't get it imo. They simply don't get the sheer physicality of the music. Having been there, done that, I can feel that physicality in the link you shared. That's rough and tight!!

Me too. I'm still a bit stuck on britpop too though, the music of my youth, anything with that kinda vibe still appeals.

Yep listening to late 80s and early 90s indie takes me back to brilliant times. I downloaded the new James record today - pretty awesome that they’re still top of their game

I can still dance like Tim Booth

One of my absolute top bands, never a dud song, fantastic lyrics, and still going.

I didn’t need that to physically feel it

5000 watts and two subwoofers weighing 40kg each meant everyone within the surrounding area also felt it

I make tekno. When I was young I took all sorts of stuff and it totally opened the music to me in a multidimensional way. After a while though I didn't need to take anything. I could tell what the music would do on it. Some years later I was living with some producer friends in Hollywood and one of them said we should collaborate on a track. All during the making of it I kept on telling him to do stuff he wouldn't normally do. And every time he questioned me like "are you sure?". Then finally we had this track done and he decided it was time to spark one up and listen back to it one last time. We had our little break then returned and pressed play. I'll never forget how he went totally quiet. Stared into the speaker. Then turned to me slowly with this completely wigged out look of shock on his face, literally dropping his jaw in sheer headfuckedness haha

That's the difference between boring techno that doesn't have a clue about how to push people's triggers and proper tekno
