I have 18 pots of Asters in three colours to go into 6 planters.......

I've recently purchased a couple of wooden planters to go either side of my front door and wondering at this time of year what to put in them.

Problem is it gets really windy out the front so it needs to be something that doesn't require much wettage. Made that word up."

Got to be honest, I have no idea about when to plant them.

I'm working on the privilege that when I have plants, time and compact, it's the right time.

"I had every intention of doing a couple of hours gardening this morning.

But it's raining and well, fuck gardening in the rain.....

Got 6 planters to er, plant up.

Maybe tomorrow.

What are you putting in your planters?

I actually have pampas grass in my front garden.

In fairness it was there when I moved in.

Pampas grass would be appropriate

My neighbours already think I'm a tart because I sunbathe without a top on,they'd complain to the authorities if I stuck pampas grass in my planters."

On a more serious note, olive trees look great framing a front door and do well in planters. They are also very hardy and require minimal maintenance
