FabSwingers.com forum: Mixer or selective listener?

It strikes me that some on the forums mix freely, and happily reply to anyone's posts. Whilst some are more selective, and only respond to members they want to flirt with or old friends.

Do you feel you're a social mixer on here or do you use the forums more selectively, to connect with people you know or fancy? Or do you find yourself varying between the two?

I must admit I enjoy having a laugh with people I've gotten to know on here or flirting with women I fancy. But it can feel alienating sometimes when you chime in on a thread filled with similarly selective people talking among themselves. I prefer it when there's a feeling of fluidity and mixing to the forums

I just go with the flow and comment on threads that interest me.

Sometimes i comment just to annoy people and occasionally i have a little flirt, but only with friends..

Good observation op. I will reply to anything/anyone if I find something that was written that I can relate to or find amusement with. Or if it’s interesting Enlight to strike a conversation up. Which is rare, as like you said, there’s so many private conversations, it’s hard to chip in and get involved.

I pop on here because it’s funny, interesting and I have had some good exchanges with some friendly People, that’s what socialising is about isn’t it?

I generally just post on the threads that are of interest to me. It can be good to socialise with new people.

I'm not really into the ones that get out of hand and the OP is made to feel bad for posting in the first place.

I don't check every thread, if it's gone from the screen before I read it I probably won't.

But I will reply to anyone who I feel a reply is fitting, be that a one liner that amuses me an in-depth thought or a debate.

Don't need to flirt as I am not looking to meet, but sometimes I do that too.

You're right angiebu that it's natural if a friend chimes in, like kitty on here for me, to gravitate into chatting and connecting with them. Like Sybarite, I do try to respond to posts rather than posters though and I try to give everyone the chance to join in

I talk to anyone and everyone. Also talk to loads privately on a friendly basis. What do you mean by ignored? It’s just comments. Half the time I comment and don’t even go back. Do you mean if someone doesn’t reply to your comment?

I often agree with many posts but can only reply to one. I don't think anyone's posting is pointless.

I reply to what's been said and not really the person. Sometimes I make a conscious effort to reply to someone new, because I know how it feels to be 'ignored'.
