According to a TV trailer is handing over some of her duties to the younger royals... as she's doing less should she take a pay cut as well?

I don't know how much she gets from the civil list so can't comment on it. However, as an oap surely she should be allowed to retire like the rest of us if she wants to!

How many people do you know OP who are still working into their 90's?

She's 92 and in my opinion has led a pretty miserable life. Seen the whole world on royal duty without ever seeing the real world, who'd choose formal state visits and strict timetables over ever doing what you want?

There is of course the whole issue of how the royals are funding, but within the current system, no she shouldn't take a paycut

We pay about 50p a year each to the royal family. She can keep it. I lose more than that down the sofa

I despise the idea of a monarchy but she has well and truely done her job and should be able to chill out a little.
