What's the funniest or strangest thing someone has done on a first meet?

I'll go first....

One turned up with a lovely bunch of flowers but odd shoes!!

You’re supposed to put money in a purse or wallet given as a gift to bring wealth. It’s an old superstition . It’s the other way round if you give someone something sharp like scissors , they are supposed to give you money in return.

I agreed to go for dinner on a first meet and get picked up, neither of which I usually do. There were flowers and chocolates on the back seat that he said I’d get later. Anyway he takes me to a lovely place near where he stays. Dinner was lovely but it turned out he smoked ehich wasn’t in his profile. There was no connection. I agreed to go to his but told him he wasn’t for me. He drove me home and I didn’t get the flowers or chocolates!
