"Not done much this weekend. Volunteered at Park run yesterday and marshaled at Harrow half today. Did manage a quick 6km this evening which was a shock to the system! Back on it now for a couple of weeks hard training as got a half in a few weeks and still toying with entering Beachy Head" How did you find the run yesterday? When is Beachy Head? I googled the profile, but didn't look at the date

"I went out for my usual 10k yesterday morning, managed it in 1 hour 1 minute so shaved a minute off my last run but still had a bit of excess energy to burn off. So I thought a 16k bike ride would do it......and it did " Well done! You only needed to add a couple of laps of a swimming pool to make yourself a triathlon

"Currently feeling like crap but hoping to shake this off by Saturday As it's just us, did you want to cancel Saturday until you are feeling better?" Might be very sensible as long as you won't hold it against me I have a recurring tendency to push myself before I am well and taking ten steps backwards x x x

He stretched my legs in to positions they have never gone to I can actually touch my toes now I cant remember last time I did that He advised no running tomorrow and Thursday should be ok!!! " That's awesome news mate. Did he give you any stretches or exercises to do? If so make sure you do them to keep everything in line

"I'm conscious that there wasn't much of a take up on the last social - and I know that not everyone is based in the South East - so I thought I would do a poll to see where everyone could get to for the next one. https://doodle.com/poll/77nghmke7uwunrwy Again, it's completely anonymous and you can vote for as many options as you would like. Hopefully the regions are self-explanatory (Sorry if you think your county should be in a different region!)" Way better than Fab regions lol Voted

"Good morning FCRC, I still can't see the fascination with running in the rain Managed 11.3 in 1 hour 12 minutes. Not my best, but I'm blaming the two puddles which I managed to find half way round. Soaking wet feet is not my thing! Grrrrrr " I'm with you, I hate wet feet, I'm more a fair weather runner too, which isn't easy when i love somewhere that rains 364 days a year

Having two North Easts was a little confusing lol And Wales is generally two geographic regions - North/South as it's such a pain in the arse to get from one to the other North Wales is easier to put in to the NW England category

I went by the official government definitions of geographical areas. To be fair, I think the same with Oxfordshire and Kent being in the same region. It would be a good two hours drive (possibly more) for me to get to Kent.

"Soggy jogger! Managed to get round the 5k course, for club champs points, in just under 25 minutes, but tweaked my achilles again " We managed to miss the rain. Unfortunately one of our runners ended up going home in an ambulance She's ok, just a bit shaken (tripped over a piece of uneven pavement)

"I began running in January and in the hot summer got to my furthest distance of 12 miles. Was due to do my first half in a few weeks but got a calf injury doing my local 10k. Annoyed as hell as my first two miles I banged out less than 10 min miles and was on to beat my best 10k of 1 hour 5. Best 5k was 30.01 and currently plodding to calf hurting at mile 3. Had a few tears knowing I had to pull out of my 10k event this weekend and my half. Parkrun most weekend so my current aim is to do it without stopping." Sorry, I missed welcoming you to the thread Horrible news about your half, but it's best to rest if you're not 100%. I can't remember, can you defer that one to next year?

Especially when you see people who can not bothering! I only nag because I care (about your running, obviously) Take it easy when you go to the gym tomorrow!

"So as usual whilst out at a vanilla party last night I left way too late and what should have been a gentle walk of 40 minutes to build up my fitness carrying a shoulder bag with my new grandad slippers in after drinking 3 pints turned into a run. Then google maps froze on my phone and I added quite a bit extra onto my route before it woke up. 3.5 km in 22 minutes 56 seconds including buying a bottle of water in a pizza shop. Considering on Thursday evening I was cycling so slowly people were overtaking me on foot as no energy will settle for that." Harry, have you not learnt yet? Glad you are feeling better though x
