When you marry a foreigner, this is one of the maddening daily occurrences. Try explaining why the demon headmaster was awesome, to someone who hasn't seen it.

I'm guessing it wasn't presented by Tony Hart then.

It’s apparently still going having had a few different presenters (Neil Buchannan was the original and best though)

Talking of Tony Hart though, do you remember the caretaker, Mr Bennett who appeared on his show? He was a right dick

That was an Australian kids program set in a lighthouse wasn't it? It was called going round the twist I think.

Round the Twist is an Australian children's fantasy television program about three children and their widowed father who live in a lighthouse in the fictional coastal town of Port Niranda and become involved in many bizarre magical adventures.

Have you ever, ever felt like this, When strange things happen, Are you going round the twist? Have you ever, ever felt like this, When strange things happen, Are you going round the twist? Well have you heard the word about the bird and the spider? It wiggled and wiggled and jiggled inside her.

Lighthouse certainly sounds correct. Didn't realise it was Australian. That's two great shows they did then. That and Skippy.

Martina was last seen working at Debenhams in Folkstone.

Neil Buchanan went on some sort of midlife crisis and played in an AC/DC tribute band.
