I have lived in all those except the 40s and I wouldn't choose them. All that rationing and everything in black and white

I agree but maybe a bit older and bit more worldly wise.

Free love in 60s. But still a lot of conservative attitudes to sex across society in 60s.

I think that in the 40's it was the time when you had to live, as you didn't know if there was going to be a tomorrow, must of been a really tough situation to be in

WW2 and rationing probably stifled a lot of those with hedonistic traits. Although the American GIs were able to fill their boots.

I spent the 90's having 3 babies, but they are now all grown up and make me feel so proud of them and I remember how much hard work it was

90s

I think going into the past people in the 1920s were alot wilder than people on fab.

They were all hedonistic art deco types.

They make this websight look extreamly tame.

WW2 ended in 1945 (I had to delete my post I put 1939 ). The first half would have been really tough.

I don't remember much about the 50s but the 60s were pretty good and for me the 70s even better.

I went drinking with my 3 son's and I kept up with them, we talked a lot about life and how hard it is for them in this day and age, and you are doing a great job

But thru adversity there was a common enemy and in turn greater unity and stronger communities.

That's what all the propaganda of the time would have you believe.

Early 90's but a few years older than I was at the time for the illegal rave scene.

70's to see bands like Led Zep in their prime.

Late 70s/early 80s purely so I could see all the bands that forged my musical tastes either again or because I missed them when it was happening as a result of being just the wrong side of being old enough to go to gigs

I learned to jive with my mum and aunties, used to really surprise the older ladies when I was in my 20s and I'd jive with them in the Frontier Club in Batley. Good times

That's why I couched it and said late 70s/early 80s - mid to late 80s were indeed the era that music forgot but early 80s more than made up for it
