Is swinging changing?

I’ve found in the last 10 years dabbling into this lifestyle that the scene changed so much.

I’m finding safety in numbers now for meeting at a club and rarely do one to one meets now. 5 years ago I was happy to have a one to one meet outside a club environment but not anymore.

Have I changed or as the swinging culture changed to make us more aware of our safety.

Is there a reason you changed your mind about 1:1 meets?

Had an iffy meet a while back and was meant to just be a social meet nothing sexual, he knew this was happy to meet for a drink then said he’d booked a room in a hotel in town and being as though we got on he assumed I’d be up for it.

There’s me saying your really nice but no I don’t want to sleep with you conversation and he got really nasty saying I’d lead him on. So now I meet in clubs

One on one meeting isn't swinging.

I don't think it's changed, and I've been on the scene for 28 years. You're always going to get a minority of slimeballs in the scene, just as you are anywhere else. Don't let it put you off. Give that one up, and move on to the next.

I think there's a change such that the average levels of respect for others is a little lower now. The scene is a bit more bi and gay accepting than it was - which is great.

I think there's been a big growth in people using apps and sites for casual sex and this has spilled over into the swinging world to some extent.

Guys don't really have to worry too much about the safety aspect but women should be a lot more cautious about where and when they do first meets, some because of time constraints and the devil within are meeting total strangers in their cars I mean not good, clubs are safe but for guys expensive also if your at the fugly end of scale you meet in club she walks off and your left on your lonesome cost of entry down not good. I plump for one to one meets in a public place for a drink having established you get on on here first maybe a phone call especially if it's a couple you can then chat to the woman confirming one exists ha

I would say it has changed...I would say it definitely has become a lot younger. I look at when I first joined there was a few of us around the similar age. Now there appears a lot more of the mid 20s couples
