Can you be friends with an ex?

It’s a long time since I divorced and my ex husband and I have mellowed too. We are friends nowadays, he even visited when I was in hospital last year.

Are you friends with yours or would there be no chance in hell?

Yeah im ok with my ex now. He hated me when i left after 25yrs but we get on now. This is mainly due to having the children.

Nope. I've got over what my ex did and who he is as a person but never again would we be friends in any capacity even though we had children together.

Not a chance in hell...

Yesterday was the 8th anniversary of when our marriage ended and i haven't seen him for 7 yrs..

Even though we had a child together he wanted nothing to do him with which is fine with me....

i recently heard that he had motor neurone disease and didnt have long to live so there will be no chance of building bridges now

I have been with some and tried to and just can’t with others, I think it depends on too many other circumstances to be a straight yes or no answer, I can think of 3 ex’s at the moment as an example, one I get on with well and speak to most days, one thinks I’m the wicked witch of the east and another who is currently only kept away via the police

One would wish me dead for reasons I don't fully understand. But generally, I'm friendly enough with my exes, certainly to the extent of having a chat and a catch up if/when I see them rather than being in close or regular contact. I;m not really one for animosity

Depends on the ex, and why you split.

My eldests dad is still one of my best friends, we split just befure I found out I was pregnant.

I'm still on very good terms with ex boyfriends, but can think of one person I'd try to avoid.

My other kids dad, total waste of space.

I only communicate with him via text, just being in his presence makes me cringe.

I love mine to bits, we just couldn't live together and because of issues it became toxic. We had the most harmonious divorce and we're happy chatting. He's a lovely man.

I am amicable with my ex now but it wasn't that way when we split arguing over everything.

I don't know if me and the ex would have ever got along, especially with divergent views on the kids but unfortunately she passed away a long time ago. I am sure know matter how we got along the kids wish she was still here.
