Good use of status updates and pics

We don't tend to discuss the updates page much here on the forum. I was just wondering if any of you have noticed people making good or interesting use of their updates. Quirky approaches to status updates? A certain style or theme to their photos?

Perhaps a good thread for picking up tips on how to best use that page

If a status intrigued me or makes me smile i might click. The same with photos

If they both tick i will message

Someone (a well known forumite) used to copy my updates as I never look I have no idea how long it was going on for

A house, a very big house in the country

I've not done it for quite sometime but I usually post a quote from a favourite classic author of mine.

I might start it again.

There's a couple near us who have around 10 truly stunning professional pictures which they have been uploading since around 2008. They upload the one at a time, one per day, then delete the first and reupload, then the second...etc. I always find it quite amusing that they pop up on the local updates so much.

If a single guy started quoting poetry would it be weird? I have no idea what single guys usually post as updates. Is it usually lewd crap? That's how I imagine it is. Stuff like "my balls are bursting for a shag who's up for it?"

I'd ideally like to know if I can use updates attractively or if that's just not what people use them for

That seems to be a regular trick... as well as leaving and rejoining. One couple near me seems to do this every few months. It's quite amusing. They always try to be someone different, change names, etc. But use the same photos

I know a number of women regualarly delete their photos and repost the same ones to gain more fabs and appear higher on new pics, etc. All seems a bit like hard work. In fact them ore effort Iake on the sex side of the site the more we realise it is all just hard work and that time invested in a club visit would be so much more rewarding

I use the updates for certain quotes depending on my mood.

I’ve had quite a lot of mail from people making reference to it or asking if they can copy it....I change it every couple of days.

Found it a useful tool as a conversation starter...

when i logged back 30 mins later i had 15 messages....

Yeah yeah yeah. A woman could write "just off to excavate my bowls" and still get results A guy getting results from status updates... that's more impressive

One tip for the updates page is that when people upload pics they often leave them as public when uploading then change them to private after. In this way I often spot people's face pics on the updates page then check their profile and find it isn't shown
