"Do good lyrics matter to you in a song...? Any favourite lines?" Very much so. One of my all time faves is this from Fleetwood Mac: "I can't help about the shape I'm in I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin But don't ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to" Such a pure unadulterated level of arrogance that a snarling Liam G could only dream of reaching. Paul Heaton's written some brilliant lyrics too. He has a great way of being humorous while at the same time getting a serious point across. One of England's finest but rarely seems to get the credit, just not fashionable enough I guess.

"Long afloat on shipless oceans I did all my best to smile 'Til your singing eyes and fingers Drew me loving to your isle And you sang Sail to me Sail to me Let me enfold you Here I am Here I am Waiting to hold you" Jeff’s Dad.

"Do good lyrics matter to you in a song...? Any favourite lines?" Yes. This one comes at the end of Peter Gabriel's Mercy Street "Anne, with her father, is out in the boat, riding the water, riding the waves, on the sea." Such haunting words. Much better sung live, I was there in Nimes France 1993 amazing!

"As soon as you're born they make you feel small By giving you no time instead of it all Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all A working class hero is something to be A working class hero is something to be They hurt you at home and they hit you at school They hate if you're clever and despise a fool Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules A working class hero is something to be A working class hero is something to be When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years Then they expect you to pick a career When you can't really function you're so full of fear" Couldn't pick just one line...they all mean a lot
