What made you join fab?

Did you know what fab was about before signing up?

Was it everything you expected?

Did you come on here with expectations?

My friend told me about the site.

It's nothing like I expected, as a single woman it feels a wee bit like I'm prey on here.

I'm getting used to it now though and it's definitely helping me work out what I do and don't want.

I joined to experience a little sexual fun without the stress of dating and relationships. I've realised it can be difficult for some single men on here but I'm probably to blame as I've not embraced the club scene and put the effort it. A fee cancellations and no successful meets yet but I just enjoy the forums and a bit of serving so it's all good.

I was looking to meet women for discreet fun, and I’ve enjoyed a lot of success that way

I wasn’t looking for couples, but have been surprised at how much fun three people can share, so have enjoyed this avenue immensely

Getting in to the club scene? The jury is still out for me

Hiding in the shadows

I met someone who told me about Fabs.

There were things I'd always been curious about, so I decided to join.

Is it what I expected?

Yes & No.

Yes, as I knew sex was on offer, that I would be able to finally explore certain things and I've done that.

No, as I knew nothing about swinging, other than the shady tales you hear.

I found a place full of people, who for the most are honest & open, that there's an 'etiquette'

I've met some of the most intresting people ever.

People who have changed my life and become amazing lifelong friends.

The last 15mths have been utterly crazy, apart from a couple of minor blips, I loved every minute.

It was way back in the day before Newspaper articles have it away and FRN Appeared

Out of a ltr relationship, no desire to get back in one but missed aspect. Met a lady in a bar, we got chatting.. One thing lead to another and the next I knew was hearing her hubby in the wardrobe.. Fuck I lit out of there like a rocket

But with all things curiosity got the better and here I am 8 years in, still dipping my toe when human connection is needed

I was here as part of a couple, we split and now I'm back on my own so I had a good idea what to expect. I'm on here rather than a dating/hook up site as I want NSA and no illusions otherwise, plus when I'm feeling braver about being a single on here might get back to group fun. Not sure you can openly put that on POF!

As an older widower I have been able to find a few good female friends outside fab but they just want friendship not sex.

I still need a sex life so that is why I joined. One meet so far which is encouraging but I realise that women have so many men to choose from so am not expecting a deluge of invitations. I enjoy the forums.

I was already on another site and also part of a large play group on kik. Someone on there said they were on fab so I came on to have a look. Was already part of the scene before coming here so knew what it was about.

I'd been on here with my ex before and we left, disenchanted. After we split I found myself gravitating to craigslist for the amusement and had a couple of crazy meets off that. When it closed I thought... "you know what! I could join Fab but not bother dancing to its tune but make it dance to mine instead... and if nothing at all comes from it so be it". And I've really enjoyed doing just that

i knew about fab 2008 from a friend who was still in the scene, i was on a sabbatical

yes fab was what i expected then now sadly its changed somewhat sometimes for the worse

I joined after someone mentioned it to me.

I didn't really know what to expect and had no real expectations. It has gone a hell of a lot better than I ever thought.

I was on another adult hook up site but was fed up with the lack of local men and the monthly fee was quite pricey. There were also shitloads of very blatant fake profiles (men and women).

So i joined Tinder, got chatting to a fella who mentioned he was on here and I should check it out.

I did and have been here since.

There are loads more local men here. I wish i’d found the site earlier!!

I joined to get sex out of the way after being in a 17 year relationship and only having had sex with one person, I just found it by chance and thought I would be a case of have a chat, meet for drinks and have sex. I found it not solely a casual dating site which was my initial chain of thought but a lot more graphic, crude and faster pace than I was comfortable. I still haven't met anyone and those who I was originally chatting to slowly dwindled, I can only assume it was they thought I was wasting their time. Shame as I was enjoying their chat

I was on another adult site and was spotted by someone I know but hadn’t seen for a while. We got chatting and he said have you heard of Fab? Said I should check it out as I might like it.

I joined and nearly left within hours, the volume and content of the messages I got was a real shock to the system! Then I found filters, blocked all messages and just browsed, learning my way around the site for a week or two before I felt ready to interact. Nearly 6 years on I’m happily married to Shaggy who I met on here. We both still have singles accounts but rarely log into them.

For us Fab has been a wonderful experience. Not only did it bring us together, it helped to introduce us to some wonderful friends. That was totally not what I expected when I joined

Of course there are plenty of those here too but I've also had some fantastic meets.

I'd reached very much a dead end in my life. I needed to push myself and try something new. It was pure serendipity that brought Fab into my life but it somehow felt right in that moment.

Someone I knew, who was very much a swinger recommended it. I guess all I knew was the basic premise of the site.

"Was it everything you expected?"

I didn't expect anything. My self-confidence and self-esteem were very low at the time I joined-up. I didn't imagine that any woman would be remotely interested in even talking to me, never mind actually meeting me. Eventually through a lot of trial and error and various voyages of self-discovery I found that there are women on this planet that think I'm alright. It's been quite the revelation.
