They aren’t always avoided. Just try to improve your profile. I’d write more if I was you. Im always trying to improve my profile, im currently just looking around and seeing what works for other men and what kind of pictures they have etc.

Also you might not be what some people are looking for and that’s okay, you just have to be patient (I think)

I have my message filters set to block new people (not just men) while they are 'new'. I've had people send nasty messages, delete their profile & create a new one, send a nasty msg & so on. Blocking newbies avoids that.

It also means I avoid the eagerness of newbies, gives them time to settle in & calm the feck down.

Though saying that, I have everyone blocked atm. I'd rather find someone myself than try & filter through 'wanna fuck' msgs... rarely even a ? in sight too

To answer the OP and also the person that says (somewhat rudely!!) the site is not so good for single men - I don't think newbies and the inexperienced are avoided as such, but they do have to help themselves by getting involved or making themselves stand out a little, but in the right way , and that means having a positive attitude, the right approach and expectations of what the site is about and can offer.

Sign up expecting it to be a shagfest and you're going to be severely disappointed!!

There are plenty of single guys on here who do very well, and they tend to be the ones that go quietly about their Fab business with a positive attitude, accept that they're not for everyone, don't expect meets at the drop of a hat and are respectful etc.

I avoid, the same as anyone who isn't verified by meeting in person. I'd prefer someone else take the risk rather than arrange a meet only to find out they are not genuine. And I know we all have to start somewhere but too much effort goes in to be let down and left feeling like a lemon
