Do you think this site is better suited to older people?

I ask this because I’ve had various messages from people telling me that I probably shouldn’t be on this website.

What’s the general consensus around young people being on this website? Be brutally honest.

P.S when I say young I mean 18-21 years old

It isn't anything about this site or the next one, people's general opinion is that the age group you mention is way too young and inexperienced to enter the lifestyle and that means swinging with couples. You can meet singles anywhere and on specific dating websites. Generally couples will be older and may even have children in your age group.

That said, it's nobody else's business what you do. The club scene will probably afford more opportunities to meet couples if you are confident and courteous.

Yeah that does make sense. I can understand why it would put a lot of couples off.

No, I don't think it's better suited to older people. I think there's a mid range of say 35 ish to 46 ish where people have much more success than others. Those of us at the older and younger ends of the scale tend to be slightly marginalised.

As for people telling you you shouldn't be on this site, who died and made them God? Ignore people who tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing, they're usually wrong

I would agree with the club comment however I do know that for some clubs the rules are 21 and over so you would need to check for individual club rules.

Yeah I’ve noticed that too and that’s again a good point. Rules are rules but I think it’s a shame though because some of us younger people are quite mature.

I don't think this site is particularly suited to any age, it just so happens that more users on here are 30+ rather than younger.

For many of us swinging is something we decided to explore at a later stage - I was over 40.

When I was your age I was busy going out with my friends and trying to meet people in pubs and clubs. That doesn't mean it's the right or only way though. Things were very different back then and it was the only option for us.

Please don't get too disheartened if you struggle to get replies or if people tell you that you are too young. Most men struggle to get replies purely because there are just so many men on here. As for the age thing, you will be too young for many people on here. Many people have children or even grandchildren your age so wouldn't deep comfortable meeting younger people.

Your inexperience will definitely put some people off. Just try not to let the knockbacks upset you.

But the mother in me wants to say slow down and don't be in such a rush to pop your cherry. Save it for somebody special, you can't ever get it back once it's gone.

There are some very 'odd' people on here, just be wary and think about what you are doing. If it seems to good to be true it probably isn't true.

And one last note, you will need a thick skin and confidence and self esteem a mile high. Don't let the site make you cynical and jaded before your time.
