I used to reply. Then they would reply. Sometimes asking why, sometimes being abusive. So now I don't. My profile clearly states a no reply is a no thanks.

At the end of the day the result is the same, I don't want to converse or meet with them.

OP. Why have you not replied to these people ? Very rude ! Sometimes ladies get far too many messages that they cannot keep up with them. It takes a while to reply to everyone and then men start asking why not and get abusive . So if people don't reply, it means that they are not interested.

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

I personally find the block button rude and guys would hate being blocked after a polite message. Also, I might converse with these people in the future, for example off the forums so I don’t want to block everyone I’m not attracted to. I save my block button for those that truly disgust me.

You choose what tools you use and how ..folk that are swamped and complain about it..the site provides tools to reduce the volume..if folk choose not to use them ...their choice

I find the filters useless. I don’t want to block all men I want them to read my profile and message if they’re interested. I don’t care if someone is not verified or a newbie as everyone has to start someone. I don’t care if they don’t have photos on display as long as they attached one to their message and I have absolutely no interest whether they are a site supporter or not (plus I can’t use this one as I’m not!).

I’d like to see filters for size, body type, distance they are from me or that they have filled their profile not just three words such as “fill in later”.

Filters for body type wouldn’t work. One persons ‘curvy’ could be another persons ‘slim’ or the complete opposite

Sometimes messages get missed so I often send a second but mention that I’ve slready messaged and accept if they weren’t interested the first time and always consider a delete a no thanks.

Also due to how barren my inbox is I do actually take the time to messsge back the gay or bi men to thank them for the interest but no thanks

The amount of messages women receive there’s not enough hours in the day.

I can kind of see both sides. Women must get so much mail, that to reply to it all, even with a quick ‘no thanks’, would be a neverending task.

But to be fair, it’s not quite the same as replying to junk mail. Junk mail is unsolicited. But women on here are kind of saying ‘I’m potentially interested in meeting guys. If you like what you see, send me a message’.

I suppose to a degree it depends on how inviting a profile is, and how decent the message is. Although even then, maybe not if volume of messages just trumps everything else.

No reply meaning no thanks is fair enough I think. But it’s difficult from the guy side to know if a no reply is a no thanks, or if the message just wasn’t seen, because Fab only displays the first X messages, so messages can fall off the bottom and remain unseen quite easily if women are getting a lot. At least, that’s my understanding.
