Not sure iq has anything to do with sex drive. However, i would think someone of average intelligence or above might be better and more articulate at expressing their wants and needs. Than someone who has a lower than average intelligence

Absolutely. You can have a high sex drive but if you use it solely for self gratification without regard to your sexual partner's needs then you are not a good lover.

Yep. People are *always* saying quality over quantity on here and when it comes to being a good lover I think that's true. Sex drive is irrelevant, I'd sooner have good sex once a week than bad sex daily.

Not at all but perhaps those with higher intelligence (not necessarily high IQ) are generally more open minded about alternative sexuality.

Some of the most intelligent people that I have met are not academics or classed as having a high rating from an IQ test.

Although I must admit that I haven't enquired about their sex lives. To be fair, they probably aren't going to give an honest answer if it's less than stellar though. So I guess all of that typing was a bit pointless...

Not amongst the male population in my research anyway. Best lovers I ever had have been a bricklayer, a hairdresser and a farmer! There was a certain architect that wasn't bad.......but Mensa members - meh!

Being a good lover is about having good feel, not a high IQ. Nice to have both though......

Over the last few years of swinging I have noticed a lot of guys who are in the IT field who use online sites. They generally are very intelligent but often poor communicators and find it hard to make interesting conversation. Great if you are looking for a f**k and go but not if searching for a fwb.

So in my opinion a high iq might match your ideal as a sexy man but if they also don't have a great personality then often they are the single voyeurs who watch at bedroom doors at parties.

A slightly odd question and impossible to answer without actual Testing. Iq and conversational ability are not that strongly linked, and high Iq and good social ability rarely are. So unless you ask somebody what there Iq is pre sex how would anybody know.

Even if you did hardly anybody knows the answer, as those Facebook Iq tests could for absolutely nothimg. So people might think they have a high IQ when they haven't and vice versa

IQ is an abstract, that's not particularly accepted as relating to the comprehensiveness of human intelligence though. It doesn't really touch on elements such ad emotional intelligence, which would potentially be correlated with sexual and personal connections with others.

I'd say there's a stronger correlation between having rhythm for dancing or music, a creative imagination, and an openness to experiencing and sharing with a new partner

Ive thought about this. Intelligence means different things to different people. I get on with people on the same wave length as me. Ive never known anyones iq that ive slept with. My partner has a high iq and i know all my regular friends have degrees. I know of one guy i saw for a short while who did have a very high iq but he was away with the fairies and couldnt really communicate on a normal level. So maybe having a high iq isnt always beneficial. Now if your talking emotional intelligence then thats different

This is far more nuanced, research does show that some of the big five personality factors are strongly correlated however this varies depending on whether you’re looking for short term or long term encounters and culture makes a big difference. Also of note is that correlation does not infer causation

The work of Evolutionary psychologist David Buss is well worth a read on this

in terms of quality of conversation, a high intellect coupled with charm and wit is an incredible turn on......whereas talking with someone who is thick as two short planks is not. However, there is no guarantee that the person who is bright will be fantastic between the sheets. In addition to the IQ, chemistry, experience, confidence, sensuality, passion, skill, etc come into it...I love intelligent women (can’t you tell!!)
