Hi guys and ladies,

What’s the ideal first message that will pick your attention? Any suggestions or is it all about timing? I can imagine ladies on here must be busy.

I think it’s a few things

Timing especially if the previous ten were wuu2 kind of messages.

I like the I know your not meeting but wanted to say hi kind of messages. Shows they read my profile.

There's no "ideal" for me, but "has read my profile, shows it and respects my wishes" puts you in a minority in my inbox.

Timings a lot I think..... but I like something that doesn’t feel generic, shows they read the profile and definitely not copied and pasted from their own profile text! Lol (like I can’t read)!

A face pic is always handy to for initial chemistry... you kinda get a feel from the message if there is potential there.

Yeah but what puts you off? Let’s say a guy has read your profile and really fancies you or is keen and is good looking, what else is that you’re looking for?

I always check out the profile before I open the message. If it doesn't appeal then the content of the message is irrelevant.

I don't know who you're replying to, but if me, way too many things to name. I do judge each message individually. (although I will say that if the person does everything I ask for but the only thing they say they like about me is my pictures, I'll almost certainly delete the message. I'm more than my curated appearance)

The right place

Some of it just down to luck OP. You have no idea what the person receiving the message is doing or feeling when they read your message.

They may be inundated with messages or excited that someone they’ve had their eye on has sent a message and you might get overlooked.

Just keep trying with other profiles you like. Be polite and see what happens.

Actually, there's something that definitely puts me off. Not the photo itself, but quite often it comes with something like "here's the photo you want". Shows they haven't read my profile. I don't mention it at all.

Most of the profiles are very sexual and ladies you are wonderful, is kind of hard to turn it to hobbies conversation, when you just read the 50 shades of gray sort of profile.
