little house on the praire

These are songs that where either never released as a single but had very limited success. Not necessarily your personal favourite but ones that everyone knows.

I will start of with Paradise by the dashboard light - meatloaf

I would say most of the greatest songs are album tracks. What makes a good song and and a great single, sometimes don't coincide, very few Beatles singles appear on their albums.

Look at all the monster acts of the 60's and 70's, Led Zep, Floyd, for example, never bothered to release singles, yet still reel in millions for their efforts all those years ago.

i am inclined to agree, but the question has to be refined a little, soem songs considered albumn tracks here were never released as singles in the UK, but were elsewhere, take Led Zep for example, they never released a single to the UK market, but certainly did in the US, i have one, Black Dog, B-side is Misty Mountain Hop, on Atlantic label

Omg - Cracked Actor - class!

Try 'We are The Village Green Preservation Society' -The Kinks. Undiscovered and hideously overlooked brilliance! Youtube it but check out the later live version with brass section! And google the words - quintiessentially English!

Good call with the Roxy Music there.

I blew up your body ... but you blew my mind!

My choice (from a cast of zillions) is Baby's on Fire - Eno

Dance in my pants from that Album should have been a massive hit for its time, think it was released as a single (there is certainly a video for it)

Glad to have seen them at their best during the Born in the USA tour in 85 - all three gigs at Wembley Stadium and then three years ago twice at Giants Stadium on the Magic Tour!

There certainly is no one else like him!
